EAGER job-hunters might be tempted by ads from London Marketing Services Ltd, which promised “marketing trainee roles” and said it had “12 new openings waiting to be filled immediately”.

For “marketing trainee” read “door-to-door sales reps with no salary, working on commission only”.

The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled that the ad must not appear again.
